Welcome to the

The Goldsboro Family YMCA strengthens the foundations of our community through well-being and fitness, camps, family time, swim, sports and play, and other activities for people of all ages, incomes and abilities. We’re more than just a place to work out. At the Y, we help build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all with the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility at the heart of everything we do.

With a commitment to nurturing youth development, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility, the Y ensures that every individual has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow and thrive.

Just a reminder the Y will be closed on Thanksgiving Day...BUT please sign up to come run with us in our 10th annual Turkey Trot! Spaces are still available and you'll be finished in time to go enjoy your family lunch!

Also, the Gym and Racquetball Courts will be closed 11/21-11/29 due to resurfacing of the floors. Thank you for your patience as we make improvements to the facility!

November 20-22nd we'll be hosting our first home swim meet of the season. Therefore, the pools will be closing at 2pm on Friday, and reopen Monday morning. Come out and support the Sharks!

Lastly, our Group X schedule is modified for the hoilday week so come on out and try a new class! The weeks downstairs schedule is posted below. Please note Cycle classes and all other upstairs classes will remain as previously scheduled.

Enjoy your holiday week!

 Joining Fee-400px

When you give to the Y, you strengthen your community and move us all forward. As a leading nonprofit for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y uses your gift to make a meaningful, enduring impact in your own neighborhood. Part of this is done through our Y's Men program.

In our 14th year, we are aiming to assist 100 local families that do not receive any other support over the holidays. A large portion of our assistance to them is providing over $350 to take each family shopping for any needs, Christmas gifts and food. During November 1 - December 15 we are collecting gift cards in lieu of paying a joining fee as a new member of the Y.  You can bring in a $50 gift card to Walmart or Target or another large department store, and we will waive the fee and 100% of the gift card value will go towards helping out these families in need. For more information on our Y's Men program, click here.

What a better way to join a fitness center this holiday season, and give back to your community all at the same time. Don't forget any family members who may want a Y membership on their Christmas list.

Together we can make a difference!
