KEEPING OUR CHILDREN SAFE

What is Stewards of Children?

     Stewards of Children is a preventiong training program that teaches adults ow to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.  The program is designed for organizations that serve youth and for individuals concerned about the safety of children.  It is the only nationally distributed, evidence based program proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes, and change child protective behaviors.

How register for the FREE Stewards of Children online training:

Enter all required fields and click "Login".

Once you have completed the registration process, a "Thank you" screen will appear. This screen will also instruct you to disable your pop-up blocker. If you need assistance with this, click the "click here" button for instructions.

The next lifeguard class will be held on:

 

April 6th-9th from 8am-4pm with a lunch break

The certification for Lifeguarding/First-Aid/CPR and AED is valid for two years for the professional rescuer. The pre-course requirements are listed below.  

All participants must be 15 years old by the end of class and be able to complete the prerequisite skills test.

    • Swim 300 yards using the Front Crawl with rhythmic breathing (100 yards), and the Breast Stroke with a defined pull, kick, glide (100 yards), and 100 yards of either stroke.
    • Swim out 20 yards, surface dive, retrieve a 10lb weight from 8-10 feet of water, then swim back to starting point and exit the water in 1 min 40 seconds.

Price is $200 for members and $250 for non members.
